We chose the T30-120 for our standalone desktop fan based on its reputation and esthetics. Since this is a non-standard application of this unit we ran into a few issues, none of which are major. 1. Just as the Sunon fans have, arrows on the housing indicating direction of rotation and air flow would have been nice. 2. The thickness of the secondary shrouded 3-pin connector to too big to cramp in the housing when not being used. 3. For alternative applications such as ours you should put the model number of PCB connector on your web site and datasheet.
Although we haven't turned it on yet we're really pleased so far. Thx.
Hands down the greatest commercial cooling fans on the market. Especially the static pressure they create. If you don' mind the noise when running full tilt then there's nothing better available.
I’ve had lots of high-end fans from the most popular brands, but the Phanteks T30s are by far the best I’ve used. You can run them at low speed (around 1000 RPM) for near-silent operation while still getting plenty of cooling performance. I can't wait to receive the 140mm version that I ordered to see if it is even better.
Absolute top quality for pc fans. I’m coming from the industrial noctua 120mm fans and they were good but even the build quality of the T30s is a step above and I’m liking the overall aggressive fan design. Looks very good in my CaseLabs S5.
