Phanteks Eclipse G500A feature highlights:

High airflow design

Both the front and top panels feature Phanteks' Ultra-fine Performance Mesh design that combines high airflow performance with excellent dust filtration, all-in-one. The Ultra-fine Performance Mesh lowers flow restriction while being easy to clean.

Extensive radiator support

With its spacious interior, the G500A is ready for powerful gaming setups. Offering up to 420 radiators in the front, 360 radiators in the top, while having plenty of space for full-length GPUs to unlock next-gen hardware performance.

Clean cable management & flexible storage options

The G500A provides plenty of Velcro ties to tie down all cables with cover doors to keep everything clean and convenient. In addition to the 3x dedicated SSD brackets, the cover doors also offer space for 3x SSDs each to offer more flexibility. Two Stackable HDD bays are included and can be further upgraded up to a total of 10 HDD bays.

Integrated Digital-RGB lighting

Equipped with its own Digital-RGB controller, the Eclipse G500A makes lighting easy. It’s software-free with manual control and programmed with tasteful lighting effects out of the box. Three M25-140 D-RGB fans are pre-installed, and an LED strip is integrated along the PSU cover and the top panel. Like all of Phanteks’ lighting products, the Digital-RGB controller can be expanded with more lighting products and/or synced with motherboards to allow for software control.

The Eclipse G500A is bringing high airflow to push the limits of high-performance hardware.

Nice Case, but Frustrating Manual & Digital-RGB Controller

If you know you won't need to look at the installation manual and you know you aren't going to ever care about cool LED lighting effects, you may consider this a five star review. I suspect you'll love this case. Either way, details follow below.

The cable management here is excellent. I have so much going on inside my case and I can only see just a bit of a few cables disappearing into the back and bottom compartments where they can secretly be as ugly as they like. It's basically the Notre Dame bell tower for hunchback cables.

The case is well and practically designed. You won't be whipping out the screwdriver for minor upgrades and tweaks. I said "Huh. That's pretty smart." several times as I familiarized myself with the case layout.

However, the manual was terrible beyond words (but I'll try). It may have permanently traumatized me (and may have done even if I didn't have a deeply autistic reverence for effective communication).

A manual is something that you only have to create once. Then every single consumer of the products it covers benefit from that one-time effort. Why not invest more time making it make sense? Create diagrams, pictures, and text that would each be sufficient instruction on their own--and then you'll have a thing of beauty when they come together.

I was competent assembling PCs a decade ago, so I just needed to pick up a couple new concepts (DRGB, and water cooling, really).

The extent of the information about the DRGB "controller" was simply, "More D-RGB lighting products can be connected to the integrated D-RGB controller. Optionally, lighting can be connected and controlled via motherboard software." and two diagrams of what a cable looks like.

The truth is, the Digital-RGB Controller is not a controller at all when you plug it into your motherboard. It's at best a hub/splitter. It sends the exact same signal to all of the DRGB devices, so when you light the first LED it lights up the right side of one LED strip, the middle of another, and one part of all of the fans. It did not need to be designed this way. Long story short? You'll be buying a genuine DRGB controller and completely bypassing the integrated "controller" if you want to have any substantial control over your lighting. Mine's in the mail.

Hi David,

Thank you for your feedback. A manual is very vital for a building experience. We'll send this to our product team for updates for future manuals for our cases.
